English tapas at the bar anyone?

Yes that’s right you can now dine with us six nights a week from Monday to Saturday. We have been open for eleven months now and although we already opened Thursday through to Saturday night, we have noticed a demand for us to open earlier in the week, so we are only too happy to oblige!

To make this happen we have hired a lovely assistant manager called Maria who used to work with Anne-Marie during her Loch Fyne days.

Maria’s in the house!

If you thought The Pantry was all about breakfast, lunch and long chats over a cup of Paddy and Scott’s coffee then you are missing out on all we have to offer..

During the day there is a great buzzy atmosphere but in the evening it transforms into a cosy dining experience with a delicious selection of blackboard specials on offer.

On the specials.. langoustine and cromer crab salad

English Tapas

English Tapas may sound like a contradiction but we love the concept behind ‘tapas’ so much that we have taken some of our locally sourced English dishes and shrunk them down into sharing plates. This means that you can enjoy a snack with a glass of wine or work you way through lots of dishes and not worry about choosing just one dish.

Now I just need some one to share all this with, or maybe not?!

Wine and local beers

We offer wine in 125ml and 175ml measures, making it easier for you to enjoy different wines with different courses during your meal.

We source our wines from Corney and Barrow, who have been independent wine merchants for over 230 years. They are conveniently located on Newmarket High Street and mostly deliver to us by trolley which is in keeping with our aim to source locally and keep mood miles (or in this case booze mile) as low as possible!

We offer two ranges of Suffolk beers, Adnam’s of Southwold and the lesser known Calvor’s lagers of Coddenham near Ipswich. Their ranges cover everything from lagers and blonde beers to dark ruby ales such as the 6.3% abv Broadside.
