On the 4th of July we will be holding our first Mini Farmers Market of the year from 10.30am to 3pm. This is also Newmarket Carnival Day, so there will be plenty to do and see in the town!
Our aim is celebrate some of the fantastic local suppliers we have in East Anglia. When we started the search for local business we were overwhelmed with the amount of innovative producers we have sitting on our doorstep, from Stokes in Woodbridge to Corkers Crisps in Ely, to name but a few that are fast becoming household names that we are proud to stock on our deli shelves.
Confirmed for the day we have The Bhaji Man from Norwich, who always cooks up a storm with his naturally gluten free curry kits and my personal favourite onion bhaji’s.
Nikki’s Homemade Jam’s and chutney’s from Red Lodge, whose raspberry jam is the stuff of legends in these here parts!
Corkers crisps of Ely, who grow and produce their crisps in the fertile fenland soils, they offer a delicious range of classic flavours as well as more adventurous ones such as Gressigham duck and hoisin sauce!
The English Spirit Company, did you know we have a distillery just 4 miles away in Dullingham producing a wide variety of premium spirits? We can not stock our shelves quick enough of their Dr. J’s Gin, which is full of wonderful botanicals.
We hope to have one or two more salt holders as well as lots of our other deli products available for tasting! We hope you can come along try lots of lovely treats as well as meeting the people behind the products.
