So us Pantry Peeps like to keep our selves busy, with a capital B…….!
Not only are we opening our second restaurant “The Tack Room” on the 5th of September at The National Heritage Centre for Horse racing and Sporting Art, we are also opening a small BAKERY and Take Away fresh food deli, just a week later on the 12th of September! Our new bakery will be situated on the fantastic site of the new museum in two converted horse stables which still have all of the original features.
Also like the new restaurant, The Bakery will be open the public as well as to Museum visitors, easily accessible by the lovely big gates on Palace Street.
Perhaps the best thing about this is our very own wonder woman Jessica Humble will be heading up the new bakery. Jess has been with The Pantry for over 4 years and has been both a baker and a regular face on the floor as part of our management team. However her real passion is baking and preparing fresh, tasty foods for everyday enjoyment and we are so excited that she will be able to do this full time as she has so many more delicious ideas up her sleeve!
So just a sneak preview of what we will be offering……
Breads…..a section of fresh baked breads, and a wider range of locally made artisan sourdough loaves.
Cakes including Pantry favourites such as Jess’s secret recipe carrot cake and our very popular scones.
Lunch time classics such as our delicious sausage rolls, made with newmarket sausage meat, quality quiches, sandwiches, salads and soups.
Healthy food range & catering for all dietary requirements
The Pantry has been catering for gluten free customers since we opened and have recently continued our inclusive ethos by adding vegetarian and vegan options to our menu. The Bakery will see our range of gluten free, vegan and healthy foods go to the next level, bringing something truly unique to Newmarket!
Hot Drinks to go.. get your caffeine hit on the go, we will be serving our delicious coffee roasted for us by The Flying Coffee cos and our range of amazing loose leaf teas.
