Thank you for checking out our website…
The Pantry’s ethos is based on showcasing the very best that East Anglia has to offer. When we started out on our journey to fill our deli shelves and source ingredients for our restaurant we knew our region had a lot to offer, but even we didn’t realise just how much fantastic produce there is, particularly here in Suffolk.
We have made a couple of exceptions with our East Anglian sourcing where we feel the product could not be sourced locally or to the same quality, for example Jeeves’ and Jericho fine loose leaf teas of Oxford or Joe and Seph’s Gourmet popcorn of London. Once you try them we hope you will agree that it was worth going over the East Anglian border to find them!
We are so delighted with our current selection and will certainly be adding new products as our customers tell us what they want to see stocked at The Pantry.
The restaurant with its open kitchen serves traditional British food, again with locally sourced ingredients. In the short time that we have been open our delicious 9oz Rib eye steak and Vince’s triple chocolate brownie have become firm favourites.
We have some core menu items that we wouldn’t dream of changing, but we also have a specials board, so that our customers always have some thing new to try and in order to keep up with what is seasonal and available locally at the time. To achieve this we work closely (literally) with our neighbours Eric Tennant’s butchers and Fish! of Burwell.
This site contains profiles and photo blogs of visits to our fantastic suppliers, as well as recipes and foodie news. Please feel free to have a look around, let us know what you think or get in touch.
You can also subscribe to our blog, where we will keep you updated with our opening date, special offers and themed food and wine tasting evenings.
